Heart and Flowers

This is a bright and cheerful Valentine that is perfect to send to a friend.
I used a Cuttlebug to create the dry embossed blue background. A Cuttlebug
is my new favourite thing! Its perfect for adding texture to ordinary cardstock.
The diecut flowers along the bottom are a fun embellishment.

Frog Prince

The Frog Prince card was created using an old Poloroid picture as a base.
Frog Prince was handlettered to make the card look like an
old photo found in the bottom of a box.

The Frog Prince was coloured using Tombow markers. Crystal Lacquer was added to give a shiny texture to the Frog.

The Frog Prince card is an example of using the bits and pieces we find in our craft cupboards.

Look for the Frog Prince Stamp Set ($20) at Lasting Impressions, Sarnia.
Stamps included in the kit: Frog Prince, Flower Cluster, Heart Row,
Primitive Heart, Happy Valentine's Day, You are my Prince, and Margarita Glass.

A Very Embossed Valentine Card

If you want to use your Embossing Powder in a whole new way, then this card is for you! The entire heart is 'coloured' with Embossing Powder! So put down your markers (at least for now) and dig out the jars of Embossing Powder sitting in your cupboard.

The first thing that you need to do is to Emboss your WillowGrove Ivy Heart three times in black.

Cut out one heart (Be sure to cut off the leaves. You only need the heart.) and press the heart directly onto your Versamark pad.

Next, Emboss your heart in red.

Press your heart into the Versamark pad once again and Emboss in Copper.

Press your heart into the Versamark pad again and Emboss in Goddess Gold. Goddess Gold is a fun Embossing powder because it is clear with gold sparkles. Its a fantastic way to add sparkle to your image.

Glue your heart over one of your original black Embossed images.

Using a Versamark Pen, colour in the leaves of your remaining black Embossed heart and Emboss in Moss Green.

Cut out your leaves and glue over the black Embossed leaves. Be sure to use a strong glue like Perfect Glue.

Next, glue scraps of pattern paper to your card. Glue your heart overtop. I like to save leftover pieces of pattern paper from my Scrapbook layouts. That way I already have co-ordinating paper all put together so a lot of the work is already done.
